The Rockledge Lease Consolidation project is a $108M renovation project with an additional $44M FFE/AV/Moves/Decommissioning component. Rockledge 1 and 2 are two 10-story buildings having a combined area of 445,000 square feet being renovated while occupied. All IC spaces were completely updated including layout, finishes, furniture, conference and meeting spaces with new state-of-the-art audio-visual systems within the IC spaces, and an all new LAN enterprise that includes Wi-Fi and cell phone repeaters. Amenities include a fitness center, a concession stand, a high-end cafeteria, private lactation spaces, a two-story conference and training center, and a security operations center. The project is completing the final construction phase. Final moves will be completed by early June. The lease consolidation aspect will allow NIH to close 6 other leases saving the NIH millions of dollars of rent each year. A Rockledge Commercial Vehicle Inspection Facility (CVIF) is in design with construction starting Summer 2021. This project is coming in on time and under budget.
