Maintenance Service Requests

​​​​​Use the Online Maintenance Request Form​:​

  • ​For new, routine maintenance service requests, including: housekeeping, plumbing, ventilation, lighting, electrical/power repairs, water faucets, stopped-up drains, elevator malfunctions
  • To check on the status of existing requests

Use the Maintenance Operations 24-Hour Call Center at 301-435-8000 for:​

  • ​Emergency Repairs
  • Biosafety Level 3 or 4 (BSL-3/BSL-4) Facility Issues (include building, location, BSL level, on-site contract and specific issue)
  • If you are on a mobile or other device without access to the NIH network​

Do NOT use the ORF Maintenance Service Request Process for:​

  • Unusual Odors - if you are experiencing an unusual odor, that is considered a life safety emergency. Please call 911 immediately.
  • Noise - concerns regarding excessive noise, can be directed to the Emergency Communication Center Non-Emergency Line at 301-496-5685.
