RML Integrated Research Facility
Status: Completed

The Rocky Mountain Laboratory (RML) Integrated Research Facility in Hamilton, Montana is part of the nation's biodefense plan. It provides 105,000 gross square feet of laboratory space, including a Biosafety Level 4 laboratory and animal facility. It also allows for Biosafety Level 3 research, and administrative support space.

The conversion of RML’s Building 7 transformed unused mechanical space to critical laboratory space needed by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) research program. The exterior of the building remained unchanged due to its inclusion in the campus’ historic district.
