2011 NIH Plain Language/Clear Communication Awards

This year’s keynote speaker, veteran Washington reporter Maggie Fox, currently Managing Editor for Technology and Healthcare at the National Journal Group. Maggie is well known to the NIH community by the many stories she filed over a 20-year period as a correspondent for the news agency Reuters. AIDS, H1N1, heart disease, and cancer are just a few of the many topics Maggie has covered globally, helping transform medical and health reporting into a widely respected career field within journalism. "Losing the Static:  How Compromise Helps People Hear You" (is a timely topic for Washington in 2011).
