RML Building 12 - Fitness Center/Storage

RML Building 12

Originally designated the “Animal House”, and later the “Mouse House”, it is now part employee fitness center and part storage. Completed in 1960 with its own unique style, this is the one building at RML designed by locally famous architect, H.E. “Kirk” Kirkemo, who also supervised its construction. Kirkemo, who over many years designed hundreds of public and private buildings throughout Western Montana and Idaho, was coincidentally consulted on the design of RML’s Bldg 2 some 27 years earlier.
