AAALAC Survey
Supporting NIH priorities by providing safe, secure, sound, healthy, and attractive facilities
AAALAC Survey
Page Content
The Survey team reported that NIH has an impressive animal care & use program. Facilities play an essential role in the animal care & use programs here at NIH and there are countless ORF personnel responsible for achieving this goal. Especially appreciated are the folks in DPM and OA who supported this effort.
Bob McDonald and Glen Stonebraker will lead an after action report to document lessons learned so that we can institutionalize what went well and improve in areas that might need attention. We need to ensure that animal use and safety receive 24x7x365 attention and in all phases of the facility life cycle, including planning, design, construction, maintenance and operations.
Thanks for all those who contributed to this accomplishment.
